Steven William Walters of Glen Allen, Virginia entered eternal life on July 26, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, William; and mother Jean Walters. He is survived by daughter, McKenna Leigh Walters, and son Kellen Thomas Walters, both of Glen Allen.
Steve was born December 19, 1951 in Kankakee, Illinois and resided there until attending Kansas University. After college, Steve spent four years in the U.S. Air Force where he began his career in Computer Systems Engineering.
On June 18, 1983, Steve married Trisha Bell of Atlanta, Georgia. Trish and Steve were blessed with daughter McKenna and son Kellen.
Steve’s career took him to Colorado, Georgia and Virginia, with temporary assignments in many other states along the way. His computer systems areas of expertise were state lotteries and the financial industry.
Steve’s love of golf resulted in his pursuit and attainment of the Professional Golfers’ Association Apprentice position.
He lived his life to the fullest and leaves behind a loving family and many friends and associates that will miss him greatly, including his dear friend and companion, Ann Barry.
During Steve's last month, his ex-wife Trish came back to Richmond to assist the children and Ann with Steve's care. Steve was surrounded by much love and support during his last days.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, July 29th at the First Presbyterian Church, 4602 Cary St Rd, Richmond, Virginia.
